Peak District

The Peak District is a fantastic place for walking, mountain biking and climbing.  I’ve classed it as my back garden since around 1990 – first living around 45 minutes from the White Peak and now, even though I live in Yorkshire, around 45 minutes from the Dark Peak.

The White Peak is in the southern part of the Peak District and has limestone rock with crags, caves and dry river valleys.  The Dark Peak in comparison has millstone grit and high moorland countryside.  Both are equally scenic and well worth visiting.
